The future of animal nutrition.

Dutch-German animal nutrition expertise meets Indian biotechnology to create healthier birds, more efficient feed, and circular value from agricultural side streams.

Our two technologies work together: FERMENTOBIOTIC™, a multi-stage fermented eubiotic that supports gut health and immunity without in-feed antibiotics, and FEED 3.0, a patented anaerobic solid-state fermentation process that turns protein-rich agricultural co-products into high-value feed ingredients.

About Loonshot Ventures

Global science. Practical impact.

Loonshot Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is an animal-nutrition biotechnology company focused on one question: how can poultry producers achieve healthier birds and better feed efficiency without relying on antibiotic growth promoters?

We unite decades of leadership in animal nutrition with practical field expertise to develop efficacious, reliable, and accessible solutions. Our work spans the full chain — from strain selection and fermentation process design, through controlled field trials, to practical dosing guidance at the feed mill.

Manufactured under European quality standards and produced in India, our products are designed to be affordable for commercial producers while meeting the documentation and traceability expectations of modern export-oriented integrators.

Core impact and value pillars

Functional Nutrition

Developing next-generation functional feed formulations and targeted health products engineered to maximise livestock vitality and disease resistance.

Performance & Efficiency

Improving feed conversion ratios and overall flock productivity, delivering measurable return on investment and practical value for modern producers.

Sustainability & Security

Strengthening sustainable food security across India by creating eco-friendly health solutions that uplift farmer livelihoods and animal well-being.

The problem we solve

Pressure points in modern poultry production.

Producers are being asked to deliver more protein from fewer resources while removing the antibiotics that have quietly supported flock performance for decades. Three forces are driving that change at the same time.

Declining Profitability

Modern poultry producers face rising feed ingredient costs that compress profit margins in every production cycle.

Gut Health Vulnerability

Persistent gut dysbiosis together with viral, bacterial, and enteric pathogen challenges in high-density production systems.

Global AGP Bans

Increasing restrictions on antibiotic growth promoters create an urgent demand for effective, scientifically proven alternatives.

The next-generation natural feed additive

One product. Three actions.

FERMENTOBIOTIC™ is an advanced natural eubiotic feed additive produced through a proprietary multi-stage, multi-strain solid-state fermentation process. It is designed to support gut integrity, microbial balance, nutrient utilisation, and resilience to environmental and health challenges in modern poultry production.

Rather than acting as a single-molecule additive, it delivers a complete eubiotic complex: postbiotic metabolites, fermented prebiotic substrates, and a robust functional probiotic strain, optimised end-to-end for poultry performance.

01

Postbiotics

Bioactive metabolites produced during fermentation that support gut function, resilience, and microbial balance.

02

Prebiotics

Fermented substrate components that selectively nourish beneficial gut microbiota and extend their activity.

03

Probiotics

The robust functional Bacillus subtilis strain, driving microbiome stabilisation and intestinal homeostasis.

The innovation

Multi-strain, multi-step fermentation technology.

Four carefully selected organisms work in sequence through the solid-state fermentation process. Each contributes a distinct group of enzymes, organic acids, and antimicrobial metabolites, so the finished product carries a broader and more consistent functional profile than any single-strain additive.

FERMENTOBIOTIC finished product: a free-flowing brown fermented powder
FERMENTOBIOTIC™

From culture to powder

What the fermentation leaves behind.

Together these strains generate the postbiotic metabolite pool, the fermented prebiotic substrate, and the viable probiotic count that define FERMENTOBIOTIC™.

After the final fermentation stage the material is gently dried and milled into a stable, free-flowing brown powder. It passes a 100-mesh fineness, disperses homogeneously through complete feed, and remains stable up to 85 °C — so the live probiotic count and the metabolite pool reach the bird intact.

Controlled field evidence

Performance measured under practical conditions.

A 42-day floor-pen trial with 1,050 VenCobb 430Y broilers compared FERMENTOBIOTIC™ at 100 g per metric tonne against an unmedicated negative control and a virginiamycin AGP positive control. The open-house trial used one-cycle-old litter under practical farm conditions.

What the numbers mean

  • Mortality fell to 1.43% — 61% lower than the unmedicated control and 44% lower than the AGP group, equal to roughly 23 more birds alive per 1,000 placed.
  • Feed conversion reached 1.674, the best of all three arms and 0.044 points better than the unmedicated control.
  • Body weight reached 2,692 g, 47 g above the unmedicated control and 17 g above the AGP group.
  • Villus height of 2,217 µm and a villus-to-crypt ratio of 7.66 indicate a larger absorptive surface and a stronger mucosal barrier — better absorption, drier litter, and improved farm hygiene.
FERMENTOBIOTIC™ did not merely match the antibiotic growth promoter — it outperformed it on every measured parameter.

Study context: Conducted by Dr S V Rama Rao at Shri Ramadhootha Poultry Research Farm Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, in 2025, under recommended protocols and certification. Three dietary treatments, 14 replicates, 25 birds per replicate, maize–soybean–meat-and-bone-meal basal diet.

Why it matters

A complete eubiotic, proven in practice.

FERMENTOBIOTIC™ was developed to answer three practical questions on a commercial farm: can it replace an antibiotic growth promoter, can it improve how the bird uses feed, and can it keep flocks healthier through the production cycle.

Natural AGP Replacement

An effective eubiotic 3-in-1 additive designed to replace antibiotic growth promoters in commercial poultry production.

Complete Eubiotic Synergy

Formulated to optimise gut microflora balance, promoting enhanced digestion, nutrient absorption, and gut integrity.

Enhanced Health and Immunity

Strengthens natural immune defences, helping poultry maintain optimal health, resilience, and peak performance.

Advantages of FERMENTOBIOTIC™

Every element of the fermentation process is chosen so that the finished product delivers a specific, measurable benefit at the feeder.

From side streams to sustainable nutrition

Anaerobic Solid-State Fermentation

FEED 3.0 is a patented two-stage anaerobic solid-state fermentation technology that transforms protein-rich agricultural co-products into stable, high-value feed ingredients with improved nutritional functionality.

Raw material is milled and inoculated with water, lactic-acid bacterial cultures, and enzymes, then fermented for three days in a controlled anaerobic multi-tank reactor system. The fermented mass is structured, gently dried, and packaged — delivering a consistent, functional feed ingredient from low-value side streams.

Patented technology India Patent No. 570485

Circular value

Nature’s resources. Greater opportunities.

The process is designed for materials including soybean, rapeseed, sunflower, guar, peas, faba beans, lupins, and other protein-rich agricultural side streams that would otherwise be sold at low value or discarded.

  • Enhanced nutritional value and digestibility
  • Reduced anti-nutritional factors
  • Natural postbiotic production during fermentation
  • Lower land, water, and energy footprint per tonne produced
